Artist/Thesis Statement
As our society becomes more and more fast-paced everyday, it’s important to take time to savor what’s important to us as human beings. A simple look around can tell us that we as individuals are becoming more isolated from each other. But no matter what, personal care is of utmost importance in our daily lives to maintain a healthy mind and body. What if there was a way to help to do both of these things at once?
Chompers is a social platform for people to search, rate, share, and discuss recipes. Research shows that the more often people eat with others, the more likely they are to feel happy and satisfied with their lives. The simple act of sharing meals has played a large role in shaping culture throughout time; why should we let go of it now?
Eating together, sharing recipes, and bonding with others over food is an important part of the human experience. With Chompers, users can find all of these things and more. The full project consists of a mobile app, a desktop website, a physical planner, and recipe cards created in various Adobe programs such as Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects in order to help people enjoy eating and have fun with friends while doing so.
