A mixed media animation combining 2D and 3D, the looped narrative involves a bounty hunter chasing a dark version of himself throughout multiple visual languages—a symbol for internal conflict and a pursuit of clarity. Making use of pop-up frames, experimental timing, and original music, this video embraces personal authenticity over conventional methods.

Artist/Thesis Statement
Through 2D and 3D mixed media animation, my project demonstrates the mental chase within our minds. It is a pursuit for understanding, clarity, or control that often feels just out of reach. The looped narrative follows a bounty hunter chasing a darker version of himself, symbolizing that inner conflict. The different visual languages and music play an equal role in shaping the experience—building atmosphere, tension, and rhythm. Pop-up frames are used strategically throughout the animation to manipulate pacing, create moments of acceleration and pause to guide the viewer’s focus.
During my visit to the Annecy Festival in France, I realized that animation isn’t just about polished industry perfection, but is also about the beauty of art and storytelling. This experience inspired me to embrace a more experimental approach. Although I want to create polished and technically advanced artworks, prioritizing my personal authenticity over conventional technicality will help me find my voice as an artist.
Homeschooled by my mother as a kid, it allowed my creativity to flourish with no limits. Raised outside of traditional systems, I’ve learned to invent my own workflow and language. More than just visuals, this work is a study of process, one that embraces experimentation and reinvention as essential tools of expression – an exploration of the medium and pipeline itself.
