Nostalgia usually comes in waves and randomly, but getting ahead and keeping track of memories to look at later is what Avenoir is for. We want to help people share memories and keep them much easier in this digital fast paced age, using digital and print in combination.

Nostalgia (n.) a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.
Nostalgia can help people look inward and become more aware of themselves by acknowledging their past. Everyone is caught up in moving fast and looking ahead. I believe looking back can help us understand ourselves better.
How can Nostalgia help in a fast paced digital world?
Nostalgia is a word and feeling that almost everyone knows about and has felt. It has been scientifically proven that experiencing nostalgia can make you warm, and eliminate anxiety, boredom, and loneliness. Through my capstone project, I aim to use the feeling of nostalgia and the idea of it to help people move past anxiety, boredom, and loneliness by providing ways for them to produce their own Nostalgia. I also want to address the fast-paced digital age we are in by having a physical journal used to produce or preserve Nostalgia, while comparing it to an app and website that can be used in conjunction with the digital age.
Overall, I want to use Nostalgia to help the modern person connect to themselves.
